This site is meant to work for everyone who needs it.
Many of the people this service exists for are older, are in a hurry, are using a phone, or are helping someone who is. The site is built with that in mind, and this page says plainly what has been done and what has not.
Our standard
Prime Care Link aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the target we build against.
What the site does today
- A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
- A visible, high-contrast focus indicator on every link, button, and form field. It is never hidden.
- Body text set at a larger-than-default base size with generous line spacing, and color contrast chosen for low vision.
- All content and every action available by keyboard alone. Nothing depends on hover or on a mouse.
- Animation and movement reduced automatically when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Forms that never claim success falsely: if your email did not open, the page tells you so and gives you the referral text to copy and a phone number to call.
- TTY 711 for deaf and hard-of-hearing callers, and a preferred-language field on every form so the first call back is in the right language.
- No third-party "accessibility overlay" widgets, which are widely reported to make screen-reader experience worse. Accessibility is built into the pages themselves.
What has not been done yet
This site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, and it has not yet been tested with every screen reader and browser combination. We are saying that here rather than claiming a conformance level we have not verified.
If something does not work for you
Tell us. Call (818) 574-3333 (TTY 711), email primecare4all@gmail.com, or use the contact page. Say what you were trying to do and what happened, and we will provide the information or service another way while we fix it.
